New Continuum Build 267 - Workflow ChangesA new Continuum Build 267 will be available to users tomorrow. This build addresses several recently reported performance issues. The most noticable change is around the loading and Refreshing of Workflows. We have determined that sites using Workflows linked to users can, in some cases, have statistical information (generated from SQL queries) refreshed automatically on a periodic basis, and in some environments as frequently as every minute. These statistics are also automatically loaded whenever the Workflow is launched. This places unnecessary load on the server and may lead to performance degradation. Build 267 addresses this by changing the Workflow refresh process as follows: - Upon launching Ostendo and logging in, Workflows are now initially not loaded.
- Users must press F5 to force both the Workflow and its associated statistics to load and refresh.
- Alternatively, users can click the new Refresh Workflow button located on the top toolbar.
As part of this change, the capability to automatically refresh Workflow statistics has been removed. Users can instead manually refresh Workflow statistics whenever required by pressing F5 or by using the Refresh Workflow button.
