Database Utilities Integrity Check Error When Backing Up a Database already Upgraded to Continuum

As part of the process of upgrading a Firebird 2.5 Continuum database, a Firebird 2.5 backup must first be performed. This is typically done using the existing dbutils.exe (Database Utilities) program included within an Ostendo 242 environment.

When initiating the backup process, the routine asks whether you wish to perform integrity checks on the database prior to the backup. If you answer “Yes”, the integrity checks are performed. However, if the database is already using the 243 (Continuum) structure, the integrity check will highlight three fields in the INVENTORYMANAGEMENT table as requiring “repair”.

Please ignore these messages, as this routine was designed for 242 databases and is not expecting the INVENTORYMANAGEMENT table, which did not exist in version 242.

Therefore, our recommendation is to NOT run the integrity check prior to backing up a 243 (Continuum) database.

No harm will be done if you if you do take the option to "repair" them
