We're excited to share that a major new version of Ostendo is launching in January 2026 called Ostendo Continuum (Update 243). It's been in development for some time, and we believe it will be worth the wait.

What's New in Ostendo Continuum
The new framework preserves the existing screens, customisations and reports, while making use of the new technology, with artificial intelligence woven into the DNA of the platform. Here's what that means for you:- Cloud-native or on-premise — your choice. The database runs natively on cloud servers (AWS, Azure), significantly reducing hardware costs. You can still run locally on your own server, if you prefer. Either way, your data stays in your own dedicated database — never shared.
- Fully managed hosting available. Daily and monthly backups run automatically. See the website for details. Visit Cassini Cloud
- Faster performance, less server load. The updated Firebird 5 database and new framework deliver measurably better speed and scalability.

New features rolling out from January 2026 include more intuitive interfaces, automation for repetitive tasks, and AI-driven insights from your operational data and external sources (exchange rates, commodity prices, supply chain updates). - Seamless upgrade path. The upgrade process brings across your customised reports and scripts. We estimate 1–2 hours depending on database size and hardware (not including new cloud server setup if applicable).
