Outlook Undeliverable Email Message When emailing from Ostendo

Error Message Returned From Outlook:



The above message is returned form Outlook if the Ostendo users settings are not set correctly for the Email application being used. Typically, this is because the Ostendo user is using Outlook, however their settings in Ostendo are not set accordingly.

Go to File -> System Configuration -> User Security & Options -> Options Tab

Email Client: If the user is using Outlook, then ensure this is set to 'Outlook'. If they are using any other email application, then select 'Other'

Incl Signature (Outlook): This setting is only used for Outlook and appends the Outlook users email signature to the email

Prefix:
  1. Outlook Email Client - Not used 
  2. Other Email Client - smtp:


NB: The above settings are defined globally in the System Settings screen  File -> System Configuration -> System Settings -> Environment Settings Tab

When a new user is setup in Ostendo, these System Settings are automatically copied to the Ostendo User Security & Options settings.
