Hardware Requirements for Ostendo

Development-X Limited recommends Ostendo is installed on Microsoft Windows server based networks by Microsoft qualified and experienced technicians.
Ostendo can also be hosted on Cloud Servers.

Before you install and use Ostendo, please ensure your workstation and/or server meets or exceeds the minimum specifications detailed below.
As you add extra users, you may wish to increase the server or workstation specification.
All computer networks must have at least UTP Category 5 Cable and 100mbps network speed.
Please also ensure all workstations are running “Microsoft TCP/IP” network protocol in a networked environment.
(See your Windows documentation for information on installing TCP/IP).

Workstation: CPU 2 GHz or greater, (Dual Core) RAM 4 Gb or greater. Min 5 Gb Free Disk Free Space (Recommend SSD), CD, Monitor, Network Card 

 

Monitor:

High Colour SVGA, minimum 1024 x 768 screen resolution

Server:

2 GHz or greater, (Dual Core) RAM 8-16 Gb or greater  
Min 10 Gb Free Disk Space (Recommend SSD), CD, Monitor, Network Card

Back-Up Drive, Software and Tapes:

The Back-Up Drive is configured to support the Workstation or Server and Peripherals. Please back-up the software daily.

UPS:

The UPS is connected to the Workstation or Server to provide protection against power surges and power outs. 60 minutes minimum back-up power supply is recommended.

Network Switch: 100 mbps

Network Cards: 100 mbps

Network Cabling: UTP Category 5 Cable

Printers: Windows compatible Laser or Ink Jet Printers

Antivirus Software: Corporate License for Workstations and Server

Installation

Network Installation: We recommend Ostendo is installed on Windows server
based networks by qualified and experienced technicians.
Network technicians specialize in the network system design,
implementation, documentation, maintenance and management.

Optional

CD Writer or USB Key: CD Writer or USB Removable Disk for Record Archiving

Microsoft OEM Software: It is often cost effective to buy Microsoft Office OEM Software at the time of Workstation or Server procurement.
