Internal GDS Error

User gets this message "Internal gds software consistency check (can't continue after bugcheck)."

There could have been an event (i.e. power surge, shutting down the PC while Ostendo was running, hard disk corruption etc...) that has caused a database issue. It will most likely be fixed by running the DBUtils.exe utility.

The first step is to run program dbutils.exe (found under the Ostendo Folder). With this program loaded and displayed on your screen you should

- Get everyone off Ostendo- Click on the 'Validation' tab and run this (this will corrected some errors if found)

- Click on the 'Backup' tab and backup Ostendo- Click on the 'Restore' tab and restore Ostendo (This will compact Ostendo and correct any Indexing errors)

- Stop and restart Firebird Server (Start>Programs>Ostendo>Utilities)
