Error Message - "Could not initialize Edge Chromium!" when running Setup from GL Settings screen for MYOB AccountRight Live - Cloud

On occasions (usually on a Server) when an attempt is made to run the GL Settings Setup, this message shown below will be presented.




Please follow the steps below to resolve this problem.
  1. Ensure the Server is running the Latest version of Microsoft Edge Browser
  2. Ensure Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime is installed and is the latest version
  3. If Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime is already installed we suggest you perform a 'repair' of the Runtime software
  4. Ensure WebView2Loader_x86.dll is located in the Ostendo Folder on the Server (If this does not already exist, we suggest you run an Ostendo Update which will install this dll)

Only If the above checks and actions have been made and you are still unable to resolve this problem, you should
  1. Ensure all users are logged out of Ostendo
  2. Copy the database to a local PC with the same version of Ostendo on it and run the GL Settings Setup from there to establish the MYOB connection.
  3. Once this has been successfully created, copy the database back to the original location on the server
