Ostendo supports either MS Outlook (using a direct COM connection) or via MAPI for other email clients - Gmail is neither and is therefore not supported. 

You can get MAPI for Outlook if you purchase Google Apps and use their Google Sync product. It creates a MAPI profile in Outlook.
