Datascreens

The concept of Datascreens was released in Nov 2015 with Update 211 principally timed with the release of Time Capture Lite and Track functionality.

 

When Edit Views / Custom Data Screens, Pivots, Analysis Views and Reports are run, they will lock the current active session until you close them down. Further to this if you have users that only need to run some reports etc.., you will need to have a local concurrent license for each session.

 

Datascreens allow you to run multiple Ostendo sessions for the above functions, however they will only ever use one local license in total. 

 

To initiate a Datascreen session, you must run the 'Datascreens.exe' instead of the Ostendo.exe. To do this simply create a new Ostendo Shortcut and substitute the Ostendo.exe for the Datascreens.exe
