This message might appear when trying to access the Demo or Default databases after performing an installation of Ostendo on a server with no errors during the installation
dmSecurity.LicenceDB:
Can't format message 13:180 -- message file C:\Program Files (x86)\firebird.msg not found.
Unsupported on-disk structure for file C:\Program Files (x86)\Ostendo\Database\Demo\Ostendo.fdb; found 32779.11, support .
Possible cause:
Firebird uses port number 3050 on the server. Some other applications eg: Interbase (which is installed for NAB banking software) may require the same port, therefore causing a conflict.
To resolve the issue, it is suggested the following is modified:
1) Change the Firebird port setting on the server to run on port 3051, by modifying the configuration file and restarting firebird. (C:\Program Files\FireBird_2_5_\firebird.conf)
2) Change the port setting in the server registry to reflect the new port. This is the Default database path (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Development-x Limited\Ostendo)
3) Change the Demo and other company access file paths within Ostendo. (Log onto Ostendo then File -> System Configuration -> Multiple Companies and edit the Computer name column so that it reads SERVERNAME/3051
Any new databases other than the Default and Demo need to have this amendment to the Multiple Companies settings.
