Month End - "Post Daily Summaries The Following Day"

Last week we published an article about the use of Daily Summaries along with setting Ostendo to post those summaries the following day. This article describes the process at month end when you wish to temporarily suspend the delay of posting.
At month end there could well be a need to enter transactions into Ostendo and have them posted across to the Accounting Software that same day. This becomes a problem if you have set your System Settings to "Post Daily Summaries The Following Day" as the posting will only occur the next day.
Therefore if you have this setting configured normally, our recommendation would be to temporarily turn this option off for a desired period of time so these transactions are posted without delay. The postings will then be initiated based upon the Posting Frequency setting. Once you have completed all month end transactions you should turn this setting back on.
It should be noted, that when this setting is turned off, summaries will still be created based on the Summaries settings, however they will only contain transactions since the previous posting.
