Ostendo
Executable Build 267
|
|
|
A new
replacement Ostendo exe file (Build 267) is now available for
download.
After releasing Build 266 recently we became aware of a minor
problem where the enhanced Help -> About
screen in Ostendo sometimes displayed an incorrect Database size
in MBs.
This new build resolves that display problem.

Links to these Updates are as follows:
Ostendo
Update 242 Download: (Build 267): (This will also replace the
current executable with Build 267 for sites who have already
applied Update 242)
In this Update to 242, there are two files over and
above to the ostendo.exe file added into the Ostendo folder,
therefore it is recommended that this Update be run on all
existing 242 sites unless these are already present.

The two new files are:
- "WebView2Loader_x86.dll"
used by Employee Locations
- "ostendoapi.exe"
(Build 439) which updates
the API (Ensure this is manually copied to any other Ostendo
API instances you may have running)
Ostendo
Full Install (Build 267):

Ostendo
EXE Only (Build 267): (This is only required for sites simply
wishing to manually swap out the current Update 242 executable)
(Refer note above relating to new files. These are not included
in this download)

As a
reminder of the enhanced Help -> About screen information....
Build 267 now has additional Database Information which is
helpful when trying to determine the following.
- Database Size in
MBs
- Current Sweep
Interval setting - Displayed in Red if the current value is
set to 20000 (refer the Help Desk Knowledge Base for more
information on this)
- Last Backup and
Restore Date / Time and elapsed days (Displayed in Red if
greater than 30 days)
These
three areas can affect database performance. Therefore you should
check these values first if there is any concern over
performance. Further to this our recommendation is to search for
the tag word performance
on the Knowledge Base. This will display numerous
articles with suggestions on how to fully test and optimise the
database performance.
