Ostendo Minor Updates and exe Build Logs

Over a period of time we have been asked for more information relating to our Minor Updates and exe builds.
Minor Updates (Current Ostendo Release):
Minor Updates provide us with the ability to quickly deploy fixes and enhancements that affect Database Triggers and Stored Procedures. For the most part this saves waiting for a significant new release to be applied.
It should be noted that not all Minor Updates for the Current Release (242) have been or will be released for 238.(only fixes relating to significant issues found are included with 238 Minor Updates)
Not withstanding this we encourage all sites to move to 242 as soon as practical if they have not already done so as this release also contains all Minor Updates to previous releases as well.

exe Build Updates (Current Ostendo Release):
Update 242 was a significant Update for us as it not only offered fixes and additional functionality but also upgraded our development framework. By doing so, this new framework allows us to capitalise on some newer functionality and security only available in later Operating System versions.
Since the initial release of Update 242 you may have noticed a number of announcements mentioning to download the latest build of 242. This refers primarily to fixes and enhancements we have made specifically to the "ostendo.exe" program file. Essentially the easiest way to deploy a new ostendo.exe build is to download the latest Update and run it again. As the database has already been updated to 242, the update itself will bypass that part of the process however it will replace the ostendo.exe with a current build. (Remember this process must be initiated when there are no Ostendo users logged in (including Web and Queue Services)
